I’m baaaack!
Wow, I realize it has been a long time since I’ve written to all of you! Sometimes I only send out my newsletters to my Distributors, so hello again to the rest of you! I hope you all are well and happy! Lots of changes since the last time I wrote! I have: moved three times, traveled around the world (India, Nepal, Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Holland, England, Luxembourg, & USA), obtained my Master’s Degree in Nutrition, became a Certified Colonic Therapist, bought a new home & a new truck, and produced my own Healing Feats Web Site! (I’m tired!). 1997 sure has been an amazing year! And I’m just getting warmed up!
I have truly settled down now, here in the Rocky Mountains of Idaho. We have a beautiful home in the hills outside of Boise. The bonus is that I will be building a Healing Feats Holistic Health Spa right in our home! There is a whole floor with a separate entrance—just meant to be for me—and YOU! I will keep you informed about how the plans are coming along for this new project.

The Benefits of Colonic Therapy
Colonic
irrigation is a restoring, relaxing treatment which is effective for vitality, energy, and
a cleaner, healthier colon. Many even report a lightening of their eye color!
This therapy is a direct way for removing mucus, parasites, impacted fecal matter and infected tissue from the large intestine.
A typical treatment involves the Colonic Therapist using state of the art equipment to flush the client’s large intestine with warm water. This procedure lasts approximately 20 minutes, and correctly done, is sanitary and

Dear Sir/Madam,
It is my understanding that there is a proposal to limit the use of ephedra containing products. This concerns me very much.
I have been responsibly using ephedra containing products for a number of years with substantial health benefits. I am also a Holistic Health Practitioner, and have seen many of my clients dramatically improve their health conditions (especially those suffering with asthma) with the use of ephedra containing products.
Ephedra is an important herb. I understand that that there are irresponsible manufactures mixing this product with caffeine, or other products that contain caffeine that can make it harmful. I think we should applaud the manufactures who make this substance available in their products responsibly—with no caffeine, and with proper label instructions and warnings which meet the current FDA OTC monograph.
I also advocate that we encourage each other to work with responsible health practitioners, (and not herb salespersons), and to use products from responsible sources. Instead of "punishing" the entire industry and taking away the health benefits that myself and others experience with the use of ephedra, I believe we should choose to EDUCATATE the public about the SAFE use of ephedra.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your notice in the Aug. 20, 1997 Federal Register which states that the FDA "...will reopen the comment period (for an additional 75 daysl for the proposed rule on dietary supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids that appeared in the Federal Register of June 4, 1997 ... " after the FDA has included and corrected "...a number of inadvertent omissions in the administrative record." I understand the first comment period ran 75 days (June 4 to Aug. 18). It was closed from Auer. 18 to Sept. 18. The new comment period is from Sept. 18 to Dec. 2, 1997.
1 have listed below (1) a number of ways my small herbal business will be hurt by the FDA's proposed rule; and (2) some benefits I and my customers have received from using Ephedra/Ma Huang dietary supplements. Please include these in the record.
